Local MPs to hold business forum for local businesses in Ely area

Conservative MPs Malcolm Moss and Jim Paice are inviting businesses located in their constituencies of North East and South East Cambridgeshire, and within the East Cambs Council District, to attend a Business Forum in Ely on 19th March 2010.

The Business Forum will welcome all local businesses regardless of political persuasion and whether they are small, medium or large. The Forum will offer local business people the opportunity to help foster practical understanding between local politicians, authorities, business leaders and banks, and will consist of presentations from the following:

• East of England Development Agency

• Business Link

• Barclays Bank

• East Cambridgeshire District Council

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

Malcolm Moss and Jim Paice said, “Given the current adverse economic climate there is an increased need amongst businesses to share good practice and to improve lines of communication with both local and national government departments.

“This meeting will be an excellent opportunity for businesses in areas such as Littleport, Soham, Ely, Sutton, Burwell, Haddenham and Witchford to network and to access and share information on new local and central government initiatives aimed at helping businesses. We welcome all local businesses – regardless of size or sector – to attend this important meeting, and we look forward to seeing you there.”

The Business Forum will take place at 6.30pm for 7pm on 19th March 2010 at the Maltings in Ely. Please RSVP to christophersenm@parliament.uk to secure your place.
