Jim put through his Paices by sixth-formers from Ely!

When sixth-form politics students from the Kings School Ely visited Westminster earlier in the year they were disappointed not to have the chance to meet Jim as Parliament was not sitting so they invited him to visit them at their school.

The students fired questions at Jim such as ‘Should the House of Lords be fully elected?’, ‘How can the Government justify spending large amounts on Libya?’, and ‘Why have the Government raised tuition fees?’

Their teacher, Sharon Jackson, said: “The students were very impressed by Mr Paice’s answers and felt he gave considered responses to every question. We are very grateful to Mr Paice for sparing the time.”

Jim said, ‘I am always encouraged to see young people engaging with politics and the decisions being taken by the Government and so I was happy to spare the time to meet students within my own constituency doing just that.’
